LiveFreeOrDie.Com is a new project in the works. The primary purpose is to encourage, foster, and organize political and social reform in the cause of liberty. Though we provide news, opinion, and discussions through our membership, we ultimately strive towards true progress and action, not just political commentary. Through activism, dissidence, leading by example and sharing our opinions, we believe we can help change the world.
Membership is open to anyone and everyone who supports the cause of liberty. All members are encouraged to report and blog, share their opinions, and discuss issues and ideas for reform. Libertarian, Ron Paul Republicans, Tea Party members, libertarian-leaning liberals, anarchists, voluntarists, agorists, independents and everyone who supports the principles of freedom are welcome here. Because our cause is general, we aim to bring together the different factions of our movement to unite in our common cause: liberty.
Because of our diverse membership base, we rarely exclude specific policies or schools of thought that fall within our cause. Knowing disagreements in semantics, tactics, or specific issues will arise, we welcome all discussion, all opinion, all activism, and all reform techniques, permitted they are based on non-violence.
We aim to become the hub of the online liberty activism and reform. Change doesn’t just happen – someone has to make it happen. We aim to help you make it happen through organizing activism campaigns, spreading truth, and providing the tools for individuals to take action.
Our site contains three man sections: pages, blogs, forum threads. Our pages contain content, typically by appointed-members, which outline specific philosophies, terms, or site policies. Blog posts are LiveFreeOrDie.Com’s content lifeblood; users can use the blogs to share news, opinions, ideas, and updates. Blog news posts will be promoted to our homepage and newsletter based on quality and popularity. Just as the blogs are the lifeblood of the site’s content, our forums are the center of our activist planning. The forum community not only provides an area for political discussion, but it’s where activism ideas, campaigns, projects, and events will be shared, discussed, and implemented.
The liberty movement and philosophical shifts in thought are already well underway. Our site is but a fraction of the movement. We are new; as such, this website will become largely what willing activists choose to make of it – you, if you choose to become involved. LiveFreeOrDie.com members will vote on what political issues that are important to them and will organize site-sponsored reform campaigns. Members will choose what tactics they personally use, and encourage others to do the same. This site is not here to dictate orders; rather, we’re closer to a forum for a discourse among a decentralized movement.
